Terraces become cherished “cultural relics”
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On October 13th, terraces in Gaoping Village, which is located in Line Town, Qianjiang District, are cherished as "terraces of cultural relics" and are extremely beautiful.
Gaoping Village, with an altitude of more than 1100 meters, has more than 2000 mu of terraces called "Qianqiu Fields", which is a large-scale farmland facility that has been well preserved in the local area. It has been listed as the key cultural relic protection unit of agriculture and has cherished as the "terraces of cultural relics". Nowadays, when the rice paddies are harvested, the villagers all seize the farming season to harvest, so as to ensure the increase in both production and income.
